Inaugural National Symposium on Australian (Indigenous) Traditional Medicines: an ANU - WSU initiative

A collaboration between the Australian National University and Western Sydney University will gather First Peoples, policy makers, regulators, academics and researchers together in November 2024 for the inaugural National Symposium on Australian Traditional Medicines, to discuss current issues and challenges in the development of Australian traditional medicine and foster new partnerships and collaborations.

Hosted by the NICM Health Research Institute at Westmead on 11 and 12 November, the symposium is being organised by academics from seven universities as well as representatives from the health sector. Three staff from the ANU School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) are on the organising committee – Indigenous research fellow Dr Virginia Marshall, postdoctoral fellow Binota Dhamai, and Research Officer and PhD scholar Paul Marshall.
